What an open door to the freedom of Salvation! It’s like Christ has set aside this special place in His heart that only belongs to you. And if you believe His Word and His promises, the confession of sin – the great communicator – is and always will be a welcoming experience for you.
Communicating your hurt and your pain tells Christ that you trust Him and it tells you that you trust God. What an abiding relationship that develops from expressing pain that turns into a love relationship.
God is not like us – He actually already knows everything you have said, thought, did or (did not) do.
What confession does; it begins a conversation that ends with well done my good and faithful servant. If I could articulate this Great God in words I would, but, it’s hard to comprehend His Love for (me) us. Falling short, confessing and asking to be forgiven and then we continue on as though nothing has happened. Life blessings come upon me suddenly and unaware: I would forever make confession a part of my daily lifestyle. (what words can describe Him – none has been created)
